Safe by design
How Tutro keeps learners — especially kids — safe while they learn.
Content moderation
Every lesson generated on Tutro passes through an automated safety layer before it ever renders. We screen for age-inappropriate content, graphic violence, adult content, hate speech, and disallowed topics like self-harm instructions. Flagged lessons are blocked and the user is asked to try a different prompt.
Community moderation
Anyone can share a lesson to the Tutro community. When a lesson is shared it is re-scanned, and any learner profile that a parent marks as “kid-safe” only sees community content that passes a stricter family-friendly filter. Every community lesson has a Report button and our team reviews every report within 24 hours.
AI guardrails
The real-time voice assistant is locked to the context of the lesson the learner is on. It will not answer off-topic personal questions, won’t ask for personal information, and won’t give medical, legal, or financial advice.
Accounts and data
All accounts are protected by email + password authentication with the option to enable MFA. Learner data is stored in isolated rows in our database with row-level security — your data is never readable by another account. Data in transit is always TLS; data at rest is encrypted by our hosting provider.
Report something
If you see something on Tutro that worries you, please write to trust@tutro.ai. We take every report seriously.
